The Camp Directors

Creative Themes is a family owned and operated Day Camp. Robert Remis and daughter, Denise Bellavia (at left), have run the daily camp operations for 29 years. Bob has three grandchildren that attend camp everyday and plan on carrying on the family tradition. Robert and Denise provide on-site, hands-on guidance, involvement, and innovation each day.

As a consultant in the areas of Teambuilding, Problem Solving and Creative Thinking training, Robert adds a unique style to the camp’s philosophy and operation. Bob is also the camp’s lead Adventure Program designer, instructor and facilitator.

Additionally, his skills and experience in magic, juggling, comedy, fishing, canoeing and outdoor adventure make him an excellent role model for the staff and campers. Providing a safe and creative environment for every camper is Bob’s number one goal.

As the Co-Director, Denise has been a camper, LIT, CIT and Counselor. She now serves in the capacity of Camp Director, Admissions Coordinator and Health Director. As an instructor in First Aid and CPR, she stays current on the camp’s health requirements. Her years of camp experience help her create great camp memories for campers and staff alike!

The Staff
(The Best Anywhere!)

The staff are highly skilled, creative and motivated to provide every camper with a camp experience to remember for a lifetime. During the 2011 summer season we had over 500 years of Creative Themes experience (as campers or staff) creating summer smiles!

You’ll find our staff provides excellent instruction and leadership. Many are trained in Red Cross swimming and instruction, canoe instruction, First Aid, and other outdoor education and recreation skills. We also have specialists in the Performing Arts, Art, and our Team Challenge Course.

The CIT Program
(Developing Future Leaders!)

This program prepares young adults for future work with children such as a career in education. Throughout the session, CITs will work on leadership, safety and skill development. The CIT works closely with an experienced counselor, under the direction of the Camp Director.
